The dataset provides an overview of consumption frequency indicators in the Salt consumption study in Estonia. Data are presented as response distributions and proportions describing how often salt-related foods and food groups are consumed. The dataset enables examining consumption frequencies by background characteristics and comparing differences between groups. The purpose of collecting salt consumption data is to ensure a systematic overview of salt intake and related indicators in Estonia, so that time trends and risk groups can be monitored and the planning and evaluation of public health interventions, prevention activities and policy measures can be supported.
