Definitions and methodology From 2024, all women who are invited can choose between self-sampling and providing the sample at a clinic. 25.03.2026 updated data for 2018-2024.
The dataset gives a statistical overview and summary indicators of cervical cancer screening coverage in the target population, incl. the size of the target population, the number of target-population women who participated in screening, the coverage rate (as a percentage), and the number and share (as a percentage) of individuals screened via HPV self-sampling, presented by age. The purpose of the data is to support the organisation and monitoring of screening programmes, to assess target group coverage and participation, to track screening outcomes, and to use the data for evaluating the quality and effectiveness of screening and for epidemiological analyses.
