In the second half of the year, the overview of the target population and invited people will be updated - those who have had their Estonian permanent residence information added to the Population Register in the first half of the year will be added, i.e. these are people who previously did not have an Estonian registration and therefore it was not possible to create a referral for screening for them at the beginning of the year, but in the second half of the year they will be in the target population for cancer screening.

The dataset gives a statistical overview of the target population for breast cancer screening and individuals eligible to be invited, incl. the size of the target population and the number eligible for invitation, presented by health insurance status, county (place of residence) and age. The purpose of the data is to support the organisation and monitoring of screening programmes, to assess target group coverage and participation, to track screening outcomes, and to use the data for evaluating the quality and effectiveness of screening and for epidemiological analyses.
