Definitions and methodology Incidence registered by the health care service provider. As the data on incident cases are based on aggregated reports and not on person-based records, the double-counting of cases by different health care providers is possible.
From 1998 to 2006 age groups for incidence data are presented only up to '75 and older'. Data for the age groups '75-84' and '85 and older' were not collected.
- The code group 'Certain Conditions Originating in the Perinatal Period (P00-P96)' is calculated per 1000 children younger than 1 year old according to gender.
- Total incidence rate for the code groups representing the diseases of female pelvic organs (N70-N98) and pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium (O00-O75, O81-O99) and the code group 'Leiomyoma of uterus (D25)' are calculated per 100 000 women.
- Total incidence rate for the code groups representing the diseases of male genital organs (N40-N51) is calculated per 100 000 men.
