Definitions and methodology Incidence registered by the health care service provider.
The regional data on incidence are based on the county of health care provider, not on the patient's place of residence and therefore it doesn't describe the morbidity in certain regions/counties fully.
As the data on incident cases are based on aggregated reports and not on person-based records, the double-counting of cases by different health care providers is possible.
Injury statistics (data source starting from 2016 is Estonian Health Insurance Fund) is available in the database under a separate topic 'Injuries'.
