Definitions and methodology 2008-2019 the data differ from the data published by Statistics Estonia, because Statistics Estonia publishes deaths according to Population Registry and NIHD according to last residence known by physician.
Standardised mortality rates are calculated using European Standard Population (published in 2013).
Rate of all is calculated per 100 000 males:

..hyperplasia of prostate (N40)
Rate of all is calculated per 100 000 females:
....malignant neoplasm of cervix uteri (C53)
....malignant neoplasm of other parts of uterus (C54, C55)
....malignant neoplasm of ovary (C56)
Complications of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium (O00-O99)
..pregnancy with abortive outcome (O00-O08)
The data differ from the rates of 2020 reflected in Table SD23, because the rates in Table SD23 have been calculated by the National Institute for Health Development and uses slightly different methodology compared to the calculations of Statistics Estonia. Table SD22 shows the rates calculated by NIHD until 2019 and the rates for 2020 are calculated by Statistics Estonia. 28.05.2025 updated data for 2022 and 2023.
