The dataset provides an overview of the age of trying drugs for the first time in Estonia. Data are presented over time and broken down by type of drug, age at first use and sex. The purpose of collecting drug use data is to ensure a systematic overview of how trying drugs develops among schoolchildren, enabling trend monitoring and supporting the planning of prevention activities and policy measures. Data source: Estonian School Survey Project on Alcohol and Other Drugs (ESPAD); data compiled, analysed and published by the National Institute for Health Development.
