Definitions and methodology The dividends paid to entrepreneurs owning a health care provider and the benefits of self-employed persons are based on data from Estonian Tax and Customs Board.
.. - there are too few persons to publish the data, i.e. the number of persons is 1-2.
Since 2023 „Average monthly income of entrepreneurs“ also includes dividends taxed at a lower tax rate.
The dataset provides an overview of the income of self-employed persons and company owners operating in the healthcare sector, presenting the average monthly income by type of service provider in Estonia. The data are presented by service provider type and distinguish between the average monthly income of self-employed persons and the average monthly income of owners working in their company. The data are based on administrative data from the Estonian Tax and Customs Board and are used as an additional input for analyses of the healthcare workforce and remuneration alongside the healthcare employees’ wage survey results. The purpose of data collection is to provide an additional view on the income of self-employed persons and owners in the healthcare sector and to support analyses of the healthcare workforce and remuneration.
