The dataset provides an overview of the use of blood, blood components and blood products in transfusion procedures in Estonian hospitals by product type. The data are aggregated by calendar year. The data are collected from aggregated annual reports of hospitals. The purpose of data collection is to provide a comparable overview of blood supply and utilisation and to support monitoring, planning and analysis related to blood safety and transfusion care.
