Definitions and methodology Since 2016, data about five devices have added: haemodialysis machine, barotherapy chamber, anaesthetic machine, medical ventilator and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT).
SPECT is subclass of gamma camera (SPET).

The high-tech equipment dataset provides an overview of the selected devices used by healthcare providers in Estonia. The data includes the number of selected ready-to-use purchased or rented equipment as of the end of the year. The statistics include an overview of the following devices: computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), gamma camera, single-photon emission tomography (SPECT), angiograph, lithotripsy device, positron emission tomography (PET), radiotherapy device, mammograph, haemodialysis machine, barotherapy chamber, anaesthetic machine, and medical ventilator. The data can be analysed by type of service provider and year.
The purpose of collecting and producing high-tech devices statistics is to have an overview of the number and location of the relevant equipment, including supporting crisis planning and analysis. Data source: National Institute for Health Development
