The dataset shows the number of women given birth in Estonia by educational level, economical activity, and age group (all age groups, up to 19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40 and older, age unknown). Educational levels: all, basic education or lower, secondary education, vocational education, professional higher education, university education, educational level unknown. Economic activities: total, employed, unemployed not working, conscript, in prison, student or university student, retired or incapable of work, staying at home, economical activity unknown. Data source: Estonian Medical Birth Register (which is part of the Estonian Medical Pregnancy Information System register), National Institute for Health Development. The Estonian Medical Pregnancy Information System is considered to analyse the course of pregnancy, miscarriage and termination, and maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality, organize health services, develop health policy, evaluate diagnostic and treatment approaches, and conduct statistics and scientific research, including epidemiological studies.
