The dataset shows the distribution mode of delivery among women in Estonia who have had a previous Caesarean section by woman's age group (all age groups, 10-14, 15-17, 18-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50 and over, age unknown). Data is presented by year, and by mode of delivery (all women given birth following a previous Caesarean section; spontaneous delivery; vacuum delivery; forceps delivery; Caesarean section; planned Caesarean section; emergency Caesarean section; urgent Caesarean section; Caesarean section after a failed vacuum delivery; mode of delivery unknown). Data source: Estonian Medical Birth Register (which is part of the Estonian Medical Pregnancy Information System register), National Institute for Health Development. The Estonian Medical Pregnancy Information System is considered to analyse the course of pregnancy, miscarriage and termination, and maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality, organize health services, develop health policy, evaluate diagnostic and treatment approaches, and conduct statistics and scientific research, including epidemiological studies.
