The dataset shows smoking during pregnancy among women who have given birth in Estonia by the woman's place of residence and age group. Data is shown by year, smoking (all women given birth, did not smoke, stopped smoking during 1st trimester, smoked, no data), woman's age group: total age groups, 10-14, 15-17, 18-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50 and over, age unknown, and by the woman's place of residence (all places of residence, Estonia, all counties, county unknown, residence outside of Estonia, residence unknown). Data source: Estonian Medical Birth Register (which is part of the Estonian Medical Pregnancy Information System register), National Institute for Health Development. The Estonian Medical Pregnancy Information System is considered to analyse the course of pregnancy, miscarriage and termination, and maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality, organize health services, develop health policy, evaluate diagnostic and treatment approaches, and conduct statistics and scientific research, including epidemiological studies.
