Definitions and methodology
The dataset provides an overview of prescriptions dispensed in general pharmacies in Estonia. Data are presented as distributions by key prescription dispensing indicators and grouped by time and region. The dataset enables comparisons between groups and examination of associations between indicators and background characteristics. The purpose of collecting pharmaceutical statistics data is to support monitoring of medicine use and planning of health and pharmaceutical policy in Estonia.
